How To Quickly Achieve Financial Success With Your Own Internet Home Business

By Rasheed Ali

Have you ever wondered what the secret to quick and easy financial success is?

Well, one of those secrets for more and more people around the world who are just like you and me is, starting your own internet home business!

The thing is though, that there are some hidden secrets that the so-called ‘experts’ are usually not willing to share with you and others like you.

You see, those ‘secrets’ or principles can and will make you successful but the trick is finding the right person to teach you.

The trick is finding a coach or mentor with a proven track record whose sole focus is your success!

The most important mentor I had in my own internet business was a younger college student that I met online a few years ago.

I mean, there I was young, strapping and in charge of the day to day operations of a multi-million dollar, international corporation and then one day this younger guy tells me that he makes more in a week online than I do in a month and most times more than I made in two months!

Worse yet he was a full-time student with a heavy Singaporean accent so English wasn’t even his native language.

At first I thought this guy is a joke, and he was pulling my chain just to mess with me. Then I thought he was into some shady type of illegal thing.

But I have to say I was quite jealous when he showed me his internet home business income! WOW, was I impressed!

Of course he proceeded to tell me EVERY step of how to make that kind of money and you know what happened…

I did absolutely nothing! Yes, I Rasheed Ali was guilty of procrastination. I should have been locked up and actually, I almost had my self put away after doing 3 years of research into making money online.

The reason for that was I discovered that this college student guy who happens to be the great Jo Han Mok himself, had not only become a legend online but he had freely given me EVERY piece of information that I had just spent about $25,000 and 3 years to learn all over again.
It drove me nuts! I couldn’t believe I did that.

Imagine what you could do if…you had someone to teach you the keys to rapidly building your own internet home business empire!

As you keep skimming through this article, you're beginning to think... “Hmmm? What are those keys?”

So to make it easy on you I’ll list a rough sample of some of them here:

• Decide what you want to do! In other words what type of internet home business do you want to start? Do some keyword research and see what people are looking for.

• Take out a good old fashioned pen and paper and write down the next 10 steps you must take in order to accomplish getting your website up. These are small steps not HUGE overly exaggerated ones. Check them off as you go. When you complete them, write down the next 10 and so on.

• Once your website is up research a good auto-responder program, purchase it and install it if necessary, then put up a subscription box on all of your live web pages in order to create a database of names and email addresses. This is a key defining factor in running a successful internet home business. Building a list of potential customers.

• Write an attention grabbing headline and a short message that tells your future visitors about the benefits of your product, service or newsletter…NOT the features! Writing good direct response copy is a valuable skill that must be learned over time OR you can pay an experienced copywriter to do it for you if you have the money. This one skill alone has made me financially free!

• Give some valuable information on your topic to your new subscribers for free in order to build a trusting relationship with them. Relationship marketing is an extremely effective form of marketing and has the power to build you a vast fortune if applied correctly.

• Create an e-book, CD or DVD on solving the most burning problems that people have in your industry. For example if your industry is the Golfing industry then maybe a product on improving your golf swing would be one that solves a burning problem.

• Write a direct response styled sales letter and add a Paypal button at the end of it so you can collect payments. Again, this is a learned skill.

• Start selling it to your subscribers, and then to the rest of the world!

Now I’ll be honest that list is a VERY rough one but as you can see, it is extremely simple. The fact is that there are many smaller things that must be accomplished within each of those listed and even more that I haven’t mentioned here.

It would take books and books of writing to accomplish that and this is just a short article.

The fact of the matter is this, my friend…

You can do what everyone else is doing and get the same kind of mediocre results they're getting, or you can learn the powerful internet home business strategies that the successful entrepreneurs are using to create financial success and build empires at incredible speeds!

Decide on your area of focus and take ACTION on it today!

An Introduction To Internet Marketing

By James Woolley

Internet marketing is one of the hottest subjects on the internet, with almost endless websites devoted to the subject. More and more people are realising that there is a lot of money to be made online through legitimate businesses, such as selling on Ebay, promoting affiliate products, and developing and selling your own products.

The major attraction of internet marketing is that there are almost no barriers to entry. You don't need any substantial capital to set yourself up, as you would in the offline world. For example, you can immediately start selling unwanted household items on Ebay, or you could sign up as an affiliate for a company and start promoting their products on the numerous sources of free ads, such as free classified ads sites, safelists and traffic exchanges, and earn a commission for each sale.

Most of the resources that you need to start making money online can be found cheaply, or indeed free in some cases. I recommend creating your own website if you want to increase your earning potential, but again this can be done cheaply if you are on a limited budget. Registering a domain name can cost less than $10, and the cost of web hosting varies, and although I recommend finding a quality web host, it is possible to find free web hosts that will host your site.

To build your site, there are various free tools that will simplify the whole process by using simple, easy to understand editors, so this needn't be daunting either. A good way to get started is simply by creating your own blog, using a service like Blogger, for example, who will host your site on their server for free.

As you can see it's obvious why internet marketing is now so popular, and will only continue to grow in the future. However, if you want to be successful marketing online there is a steep learning curve, and a lot of people simply give up after a few weeks because they haven't made any money. It takes time to learn how to be successful. Experienced marketers have endless resources they can draw on, that will most likely have come from years of testing and researching.

In the early stages of your internet marketing career there is a lot to learn, and you should absorb as much information as possible. Look for the more renowned internet marketers, and subscribe to their newsletters for ideas and tips. Also be sure to check out the Warrior Forum, which is frequented by some of the very best online marketers, who you can learn so much from. There are also numerous ebooks and websites devoted to the various aspects of internet marketing.

There will come a time though when you have to take action. A lot of new potential marketers end up spending hundreds, if not thousands, on ebook after ebook, trying to learn as much as they possibly can, without actually devoting much time to doing it themselves, and learning as they go along. Don't get caught in this trap. It's very easy to do. I know because I did it myself to some extent when I first started out.

If you don't make any sales straight away, don't panic. Just keep trying out different things and learning from your mistakes. No-one makes lots of money instantly with no experience. It takes time.

One thing I would recommend highly is having an opt-in form on your front page, where visitors to your site can choose to receive emails from you. This way even if you are not making any sales at the present time, at least you are building up your mailing list, which many successful marketers claim is their most valuable asset. This will enable you to market your product to the same prospects in future emails, increasing the chances of making a sale.

Promoting Ecommerce Sites

Promoting Ecommerce Sites

By Mark Lawson

Setting up your ecommerce site was no simple process, but in creating a successful ecommerce business, setting up the site is only the first step. Promoting your ecommerce site is what will determine whether or not you make a profit. How you promote your ecommerce site will determine how much profit you will make the first month, the first year, and for the life of the business.

First things first: the reason you have an ecommerce site is to sell your products. Each page that lists a product needs to have words to offer the consumer as much information as possible about the product that you have to offer.

Because your pictures don't have the benefit of touch and three dimensional site, your pictures need to offer as many angles as possible, including close-ups and labels if applicable. In this way, your customer can feel confident that he or she is going to get exactly what they want.

Search engines, however, can't see pictures. The only way that search engine spiders will pick up your site when a customer searches a key phrase that relates to your product is if you have text that relates to that product on the page. Include it in the title bar for the page, in the header and throughout the descriptive text. Use variations of the words within the product name as well as words that are related. In this way, the search engine will recognize your page as a legitimate landing site for the consumer.
Don't get too carried away with the text, however. Keep the word count between 250 words and 750 words. Too little and there isn't enough information to convince the search engines or the consumer that you are the expert you claim to be. Too much and the consumer gets bored or overwhelmed and clicks through without reading anything.

Once you have your ecommerce site set up, properly filled up with informative text and pictures, submit your URL to main directories like Dmoz and Yahoo. Directories are great places for consumers to get focused results for their key phrase searches. Finding your site here lends it credibility that search engines don't offer.

In the same way, niche directories offer the same authority to your site and then some. Because your site must pass an acceptance process, to be included in their directory means something in the business world. Only sites that are qualified and related to the particular niche of the directory are included.

If your ecommerce site is among them, you're guaranteed a much higher percentage of traffic that will not only come to your site but are more likely to stay, purchase, and return often.

Your next step in promoting your ecommerce site is something like advertising. Get your name, your brand, and your URL everywhere that matters. That means posting your expert industry related advice on forums that consumers interested in your product area are likely to roam.

For blogs in your sphere of influence, that goes double. Blogs, especially, are gaining popularity by the day and have the added feature of RSS feeds which allow its regulars to subscribe to an alert system which lets them know every time a new post (i.e. your new post) goes up.

Next, offer to post the link to a complementary business on your site in exchange for them posting yours. In this way, you both gain the coveted link back that search engines use as part of their formula for calculating your page rank. Your expertise can also get link backs with the even more highly coveted one way link back when you write articles and include your URL in your bio box at the bottom.

Submit these articles to free article directories where they can get picked up by bloggers and newsletter editors in your industry. Finally, you can implement these ideas and watch your traffic numbers rise and your profits soar within weeks.

The Secret Ingredient That Creates The Sales

By Karl Stadler

The internet has become a huge mall with little ally ways and secret entrances all over the place. There are a huge amount of sales websites all vying for the same attention. Indeed a highly competitive market.

Marketing skills and writing have become more and more important to the marketing of your products and will become increasingly so as the internet increases in size.

Don't be under the illusion that now is to late, there are millionaires made every day and there will still be made twenty years from now.

Advertising your site and product is the small part of marketing, the secret ingredient is in the pitch, whether a landing page, opt in or sales page.

Funny enough it has been the same for as long as you possibly can remember, from the first radio commercials, print commercials up to the latest in HDTV, it has not changed, what has changed is the jargon, the language and the way people perceive the world around them on a daily basis.

The way you write your sales pitch, where you place which word, how long must it be, what do you say, how do you say it, what guarantees do you give, how good do you make it sound, what is the perceived value, what does the buyer get, why or why not ad bonus products, what about the price.

The buzzword niche has now been around for a while, and in most places you will be taught that to get good business you must find your niche. For most this is easier said than done, think about it while you walk the dog, it may help but it wont resolve the issue at hand.

Many new internet marketers make the same mistake, including me, when you start out, you want to sell everything to everyone, make millions of dollars and retire on the beach watching whatever you enjoy watching.

Many just throw in the towel after a while and that depends where they can push their patience to, others last a bit longer and as these leave new recruits eager to do the same join the party.

A vicious circle indeed and it seems that just a few at the top are making it. Many well known marketers are making it, but there are many more who remain quiet and anonymous that are raking in millions. It is up to you if you want to be well known or not, but use the right secret ingredient and you will be raking in the cash.

So for how long am I still going to be ranting on about the secret, or maybe it is my sales ploy, who knows?

Well lets let the cat out of the bag and not keep you in suspense any longer. You cant buy the secret ingredient. You are it. You just need to develop yourself using the right information.
What this means is that your product, book, sales letter or email needs to be unique to yourself.

That is how your product will stand out from the rest. Just duplicating someone else's work might bring you some success but the real success lies in you. Like any game before you can get those tricky moves going you need to do the basics right. Learn the basics and the rest will follow.

Do not believe that you are not a writer. For some it is harder work than for others, but if you intend to be a successful internet marketer and have those vacations at the beach, every moment spent will be worth your while.

Karl Stadler is a internet marketer and author. If you would like to know how to develop your secret ingredient please visit http://www.yourenterprize.com/articles/secret-ingredient.htm.

10 Powerful Internet Marketing Strategies That Bring In Sales

By Elizabeth McGee

Increasing website traffic is the name of the game on the internet. It's important to note, however that there is no one thing that can bring instant traffic or ongoing sales. It's a combination of strategies that promote contact and networking.

Not all strategies work for everyone, so it's important to know what the options are, utilize a few that look appealing and stick with what works for you.

Here's a few tips and strategies that have worked for me. Give them all a try or perhaps just one. Any or all can make a healthy difference:

1. Write A Press Release

A press release is not a sales pitch and sales hype is not allowed. It is, however, your chance to provide your business story which can be a powerful form of marketing. When writing your press release you'll want to provide the who, what, where, when, how and why of your business. Create interest by detailing who you are, what you are about, why you went into business, but more importantly, how your customers have benefited.

An effective press release can create a newsworthy story that is capable of creating buzz and interest all across the web for a long time to come.

2. Create A Blog

Whether you have a website or not, a blog is an ideal tool for giving you and/or your business a favorable presence.

Think of a blog as a diary. Create your blog by posting your products and information. Then on a daily or weekly basis add additional products, information or comments. Invite comments from others and before you know it you'll have a steady stream of visitors.

If you don't have a website, creating a blog is a great place to start and you can create one for free. If you do have a website, a blog will help generate visitors. The beauty of blogs is that you can also add Google adsense ads for additional revenue.

3. Create Special Offers

A limited time sales offer will encourage your visitors to act. If you have customers that are interested in your products, give them an occasional boost by holding a sale. Chances are they've been eyeing your products for some time, and with a special offer incentive, they just might take the leap.

4. Use Pay Per Click Advertising

Every internet business owner should consider pay per click advertising. It's fast, it's targeted and can be cheap if done correctly. Therein lies the key, you must research how to create a cost effective pay per click campaign.

It's not rocket science. You simply need to write a compelling ad, research relevant keywords and understand your return on investment. This means that if your product earns you $20 per sale then you must pay no more than 20 cents per keyword, preferably less.

For example, on average, your ad will bring in one sale per 100 clicks on that ad. If 100 clicks brings one $20 sale then you've just paid $20 for that ad (100 x .20) and you broke even. Therefore, your goal should be to pay less than 20 cents per keyword but no more. Finding relevant, less popular keywords is goal.

Of course, the better the ad and the better your website's sales copy performs, the more sales you will receive.

5. Write An Article

Don't put this one off. The internet is designed to deliver information and what better way for you to get the word out about you, your business and your expertise than by providing relevant, useful information. If you're selling scrapbooks, write an article on how to scrapbook. A well written article can show someone how easy scrapbooking is, boost their interest and therefore encourage a sale.

If writing an article is not something you feel you can do, have it written for you, it's not expensive and it's one of the best ways to bring traffic to your site.

6. Carefully Optimize Your Site For The Search Engines

Don't build your site and forget it. Utilize the search engines to your benefit by taking the time to optimize your site. Optimization doesn't have to be complex. Simply create a title that clearly depicts what your site is about and write a description that accurately describes to your readers what information you have to offer. Research relevant keyword phrases as opposed to single words and repeat that phrase in your title, description and throughout your page.

7. Create A Newsletter

Your goal should be to keep your viewers coming back to your site over and over again. The best way to keep in touch with viewers is through publishing a newsletter or a periodical that offers beneficial, useful information.

Post a newsletter form on your site and specifically direct your viewers to sign-up. Don't just expect them to notice that you have a newsletter, direct them there and be specific about what your newsletter offers.

By publishing a weekly newsletter you are reminding your readers of your products, sales or upcoming events. Avoid pushy sales tactics and sales hype. Simply offer useful information, tips and advice. Make your newsletter a thing of value by keeping them interested and encouraged.
It's important to remember that it takes an average of 7 visits for a viewer to buy; they're not likely to visit seven times without a reminder.

8. Offer Something Free

We all love free and the internet is no exception.

- If you publish a newsletter, offer a free ebook or free e-course in exchange for an email address. In your newsletter also offer a free tips section that pertains to your site's topic.

- If someone makes a purchase, consider offering a free bonus, this often prompts sales.

- Offer free teleseminars. This is an excellent way to let your viewers hear your voice and experience who you really are. It builds trust and they won't soon forget who you are and what you are about.

9. Make A Donation

Create a promotion where you will be donating a percentage of your proceeds to your favorite charity. Donating money or services to your favorite charity builds trust and a positive image for your business. I'd much rather buy from someone that donates a few dollars to a worthy cause than someone who doesn't.

10. Participate In Discussion Forums

Take the time to find online forums that are relevant to your business. By responding to questions, offering advice or posting your articles, others will see you as an expert in your field as well as someone willing to help. Posting on a weekly basis will allow readers to become familiar with you and your business as well as regarding you as a respected authority.

When registering on a forum be sure to create a signature file that includes your website address. This will post your website address each time you make a forum entry.

Your business will do well to perform each and every strategy noted above, however, performing just one of these powerful marketing strategies will improve your chances of drawing visitors to your site, but more importantly, it will help keep them coming back.

How To Build An Effective Internet Marketing Strategy

By Khemal Dole

Marketing has been around for ages. Internet marketing is fairly new. Internet marketing strategy, while different in terms of the venue in which it takes place, is not all that unique compared to other marketing strategies. The principles that work with internet marketing strategy are actually the same ones that marketing experts have always used. And there are many schools of thouts regarding the basics of a marketing strategy.

The basic four P’s approach is the most popular. That is Product, Price, Promotion, and Positioning are what you should consider when formulating your internet marketing strategy. However, there are a couple of factors that are somewhat unique to internet marketing. And focusing on them can make the different between a successful strategy and a weak one.

First, in internet marketing strategy, is the personalization of the message. It is important to not only identify who your potential customers are, but also to know what they are looking for. Your marketing message needs to be developed and customized to deal with your identified target customer base. This means that you should talk directly to your target market rather than as a general customer. If you are marketing head ache pills, make sure your marketing message addresses people with head aches and not just people with some form of pain. Know your market and address them directly.

Second in internet marketing strategy is privacy. With anything online, people are of course worried about their information being safe. You should make sure that your potential customer base has good reason to trust you with their information. Having information about your customers makes it easy to cater to their needs. Without security you will not get that opportunity. You need to make sure you have proper security to guard customer information. You need to make sure that current and future customers are aware of what steps you are taking to protect their information and privacy. Draft a Privacy Policy for your business and make it easily accessible to your clients. Don't assume that your clients will know about your privacy policy - tell them. Make sure you put their minds at ease and they will in turn be willing to trust their information in your hands.

As with any business, customer service is important to your internet marketing strategy. This is because people need to know they are being cared for, especially in the cold world of the internet. Adding a customer service link and giving your customer an easy way to contact real representatives will aid your internet marketing strategy a great deal. Poeple like to deal with other people. Make sure you give your customers that option.

Internet marketing strategy is a necessity for not only online businesses, but also any business that wants to reach that group of people who use the internet. In order to get your strategy in place and running smoothly it is important that you understand that while many aspects of internet marketing are the same, there are also aspects of it that differ from real world marketing. Addressing these aspects is as important as paying attention to the basics.

The Present and the Future of Keyword Ownership

By Mark Nenadic

Have you ever seen an add that offers you ownership of a keyword? If you’re on the internet much, or if you have an email account, the answer to that question is almost certainly a yes.

There are many services out there that offer to sell you keyword ownership – specifically premium keyword ownership – for the cost of a few hundred dollars every year. The primary selling point used by these companies is that if anyone happens to type the keyword you have purchased into the address bar of their internet browser, then they will automatically be sent directly to your website. There are, in fact, about 2 percent of internet users around the globe who have this ability enabled on their computers, since it specifically requires certain element such as Internet Explorer.

Studies have shown that approximately 4 to 7 percent of all search queries are done by way of a keyword being entered into the address bar of the internet browser being used. For Internet Explorer users, any search queries performed using the address bar are defaulted to an MSN search. However, over time, most of us have installed a good deal of additional software onto our computers, allowing for such searches to be re-routed to other search portals. This is often a sign of having installed a file sharing software. Among the spyware and potential for viruses, worms, and other undesirable additions to your computer, by installing a program such as Limeware, Morpheus, or Kazaa, you may have altered your default search in your address bar from MSN to a different portal altogether.

Of the queries that are entered into the address bar, approximately 50 percent of them are the result of having accidentally mistyped their desired URL, therefore instigating a keyword search. This accounts for the between 2 and 4 percent of internet users who actually use the address bar to perform their searches.

To understand the way that this functions, it is important to know how address bars work. There are many different companies offering the ownership of keywords. So many, in fact, that they are able to compete with each other, and even sell the very same keywords, only to different search companies. This being said, it means that if you buy a keyword, then depending on the company you buy it from, they may only make the search available to those specific internet users who have installed that company’s unique proprietary address bar plug-in. This makes the total number of people quite low for entering your keyword into the address bar and then find your site.

Though it is up to you whether you choose to use keyword ownership among your online marketing techniques, it is vital that you keep yourself informed of the actual potential that this method will offer you. Never hesitate to ask questions of the company you’re considering, and if anything looks fishy or not as appealing as it should, simply walk away. There is lots of competition out there, and there is surely someone who will be willing to make you a better deal.

A marketing strategy based on keyword ownership is difficult to measure. After all, many of the tools for the process are not interchangeable, there are many competing companies all selling the same companies to your competition, and your target of internet users is quite small in the first place. It can easily happen that all of the money you spend on such keyword ownership will lead to absolutely nothing.

In competition with these keyword ownership businesses are the search engines themselves; specifically those who have their own toolbars. Many of the major search engines offer a downloadable toolbar that allows you to enter keywords and run searches quickly and easily. You are then presented with that search engine’s range of closest matches from all of their indexed websites. Not only does this not cost anything, but more than one keyword possibility can lead to your site.

As you can see, it is quite clear that keyword ownership can be quite the tricky business and must be managed with the utmost research and technical knowledge if any notable gains are to be witnessed

The Five Basic Principles of Online Marketing

By Mark Nenadic

Ask the experts about the most vital parts of online marketing, and you’ll invariably come up with a list of five major responses. These five critical online marketing principles are:

1. Dead-ends
2. Giving and selling
3. Trust
4. Push and pull
5. Niche marketing

The dead-end principle means that your web marketing effort can’t just exist. It must give prospective customers a reason to look around and take action. Otherwise, it’s the same as having them see your ad, then turn around and go elsewhere – your ad was a dead-end to them, they didn’t get anything out of it. No matter how informative your website is, with gorgeous graphics and a winning layout, if it does not encourage your visitors to take certain actions, then it is just taking up web space and isn’t actually filling a purpose. Therefore, when you’re designing your web marketing strategy, before even building your site, you’ll need to ask yourself how you’ll obtain your visitors. You’ll then need to choose which activities will get you to these results, and which of them can be done in-house, as others are outsourced.

The giving and selling principle refers to the fact that when people shop online, they expect to receive something a little extra. Therefore, one fantastic method for attracting customers to your website is to give something to them for free, and then attempt to sell them something else. The strategy typically goes as follows: the first step is to attract people to your site using a good amount of free information. The second step is to inform these prospective customers about your products and services. The free stuff doesn’t need to be something tangible. Even the information has value, and then once they’re hooked, they’re ready to learn about what you have to sell them.

Trust is an extremely important principle for web marketing. In fact, many experts believe that it is the most important of all the other principles for selling your products and services. Without this trust, people simply won’t buy from you and you won’t have a business. Trust is built in a number of ways. This can include selling well known and respected name brands, by clearly displaying your privacy, shipping, and return policies, by joining well known and respected organizations, and by offering guarantees that you’ll stand by. A customer-friendly system based on quality and transparency allows you to build your credibility and will earn the trust of your prospective customers, leading to more sales of your products and services.

The push and pull principle works by pulling people into your website using attractive content, and then pushing your information to them on a regular basis using email. This can be done in a number of ways; most commonly, this has to do with opt-in programs such as newsletters and updates about sales and other promotions. Since websites are relatively passive, it is extremely useful to add an active element to your marketing campaign that will remind your prospective customers of your existence, and entice them to act on what you have to offer.

Niche marketing has become a vital part of the web marketing industry. It is a recognized fact that to be successful, especially with an online business, you need to know your niche, and market directly to them. With a small business, finding the niche must be filled in order to give them enough leverage against the competition.

A niche allows a business, no matter how large or small, to focus on a certain corner of the marketplace, limiting the competition, and focusing on the precise type of person who is most likely to become a customer. The key to niche marketing is to begin with a business plan to identify and define your focus and purpose, and then build your website and marketing strategy based upon the vision you’ve outlined. This encourages consistency and accuracy throughout your web marketing efforts.

All of these principles are very important to creating a successful marketing strategy online. By making sure that these principles are all fulfilled, you can be certain that you’ll increase your number of new visitors, and – perhaps more importantly – encourage past and current customers to return.

4 Secrets to Turn Any Business Into a Successful Web Business - Part 1

By Lynn VanDyke

There are a few secrets that I'd like to share with you. You may have been privy to a few of them before. Actually you may have heard of all 4, but I can promise that you will finish each article with a fresh perspective. I will show you how 4 simple secrets can create a powerhouse web business. This is the first part of the 4 article series.

Before I divulge the vault of successful web business secrets I must warn you of one thing. All the information in the world will not take the place of determination and persistence. A web business is just like an offline business. It takes hard work and resolve to succeed. However working smart is heads and tails better than plain old working. These 4 secrets will turn any smart working, dedicated average Joe or Jane into a successful web business owner.

Web Success Secret #1) Content is king.

Heard that before? I know I have. The thing I never knew was how to use content to my advantage. Content is useless unless it is optimized for the search engines. It must also be optimized for your reader. You have two customers- readers and search engines. You must satisfy both with the same exact content.

Content is king only if you have exact and highly specific keywords placed in correct locations. Unfortunately the hard part is determining what keywords to use. A keyword can be a single word or a phrase. It is the term that web surfers use to search for information. Place yourself in their shoes and try to discover what search terms they use. You must then evaluate the search term. How many people search using that term? How many sites already deliver information on that search term? Simple demand and supply rules. The more demand with the less supply equals more profitability.

You have several options for determining keywords and their profit potential. Search yourself, pay a company to search for you or have your hosting company do a complete keyword search for your niche or web business topic. If your hosting company does not offer this service I recommend you switch to a plan that does. This feature alone can make or break your business' future. If you would like my recommended hosting plan, please contact me.

Without a proper keyword search and analysis you may as well forget about becoming successful with an Internet business. Investing in this one secret is literally the start of planning your website.

Your next action step is to plan your site layout based on the 50-175 high-demand and low-supply keywords. Your site should be structured in three tiers. Tier one is your home page. Tier two is made of all of your main topics and also constitutes your navigation bar buttons. Tier three keywords are sub-topics of tier two pages. Organize your 50-175 keywords into three tiers. Doing this makes it easier for visitors to navigate through your site and it makes it easier for search engine spiders to find all of your pages.

Search engine spiders do not like to fish around for all of your pages and links. This is why many sites offer a “site map”. A site map is one page that contains links to all of the content pages. This is a fine route to take; however most people agree that pages with a lot of links on it are valued less than content pages that casually link to other content pages.

Using three tiers allows you to go from topic to sub-topic to sub-sub-topic all by natural in-content links. For example, tier 1 is the homepage on a fitness site. Tier 2 is a page all about cardio activity and its benefits. A tier three page off of that tier 2 page is about different treadmill routines. Do you see how the site visitor would like this structure? They click on “Cardio” and are given links to more specific pages about cardio topics. Search engine spiders like the three tier structure too. It means they do not have to dig through layers and levels of useless links.

There is even more to content than finding profitable keywords and structuring your site into easy-to-navigate tiers. You must optimize each and every page on your website to perform well and rank high at search engines. Many people devote their working life to optimization secrets. A full length article just on optimizing is possible. Heck, a full length book is possible. My recommendation is to use a hosting company that automatically teaches you how to optimize web pages for the engines. Doing that will cause less headache and frustration and it will keep you focused on building content.

A quick education in optimization: place your specific keyword in the file name, title, description and keyword section of your page. Then sprinkle the keyword throughout the content. Also provide a link using your specific keyword in the link text. If all of this has you spinning your head, I recommend going the hosting company I use. They literally teach you to build a website using blocks. It’s all simple and easier than you think.

There is one last piece to content. It must effectively pre-sell your product or service and position you as the expert in your field. When your website has 50-175 optimized pages for your visitors to read through it will start to position you as the expert. Your site will become known as the place for information about (insert your niche).

When visitors find your site through search engines they are seeking information about a problem or question they have. If they land on your site and you try to sell them something right away one thing is sure- they click the back button and find another site that will give them information. This is why pre-selling your product or service is paramount. Give your visitors what they want. Answer their question and in the process let them know about your services and products.

All of the information develops rapport and trust with your site visitor. It positions you as an expert. It keeps your visitor on your site longer since they are actually reading content. Search engines notice this and rank you better. How well your site can keep visitors is known as "stickiness." Your site must attract and keep visitors for as long as possible.

Provide content that pre-sells your products, positions you as the expert and focuses on highly profitable keywords. You cannot go wrong with your web business if you do those things. The secret to content is to satisfy both your visitor and search engines. Lose one or both and you are doomed. As I mentioned earlier, it is best to work smarter and not harder. Your hosting company should be providing most of these services to you free of charge. There are a small few that do this, but it is well worth the investigation. Contact me for further resources and information. Having a successful web business starts with effective content. Stay tuned for parts 2-4!

The Right Answers To Internet Marketing Guarantees Success

By Saleem Rana

Why do so many people struggle heroically with Internet Marketing, only to fail, give up, and return to their lackluster life, claiming bitterly that “it doesn’t work?”

There obviously is no shortage of information nor of ways to build a home based business.

If there were only failures, one could legitimately conclude that the copious information is at fault and that all online opportunities are fraudulent.

Yet there are people who use that information and use that opportunity and develop what is popularly known as the Internet Marketing lifestyle, in which they stay at home, spend time with their families, indulge in their hobbies, and make money whether working or sleeping.

If you read the biographies of these gurus, you find that most had very little understanding or competence when they first set out. Yet through sheer persistence they pushed through and found the right answers, implemented them, and slowly climbed to heights of success, earning in a month what the average employee, slaving away in a corporation where he is continually bullied and harassed to toe the company line, earns in a year.

Here is what is probably going on. These are the 7 deadly sins.

1. A failure to find the right guru, someone with a proven track record.
2. Failure to leverage the best opportunity to express one’s interests.
3. Failure to commit and structure time to allow for learning and practice.
4. Low self-esteem and insufficient will to complete tasks.
5. Refusal to commit, getting distracted, and losing track of progress.
6. Inability to focus on a simple workable plan.
7. Giving up.

Yet all these boil down to an even more essential weakness: the failure to learn, identify the right answers, and build sufficient momentum.

It takes focus and concentration to learn anything. A smattering of skills is not enough. Until you can prove results through your bottom line, that is, your bank balance, you have to assume that you do not know and you have to make the effort to learn.

Do this now.

Take 3 sheets of paper.

On the first sheet write where you are now and how you got there.

Then on another sheet, write the header, “What do I know?” Fill this out.

Finally, on the third sheet, write, “What do I not know?”

Now, you have CLARITY. You have set confusion and frustration aside.

Your task is now to start getting the right answers. When you next download an information product—read it through completely, reread it and take notes, and then experiment with the ideas, tweaking them as you go along.

Seek knowledge, seek the right answers, and you, too, will start earning “impossible” monthly incomes.

Why settle for failure when you can be a soaring success and live the lifestyle that you really want?

Web Marketing - A Look Into The Crystal Ball

By Halstatt Pires

It may be hard to believe, but the Internet as we know it is just over 10 years old. So, what does the crystal ball show us about the coming evolution of web marketing?

Web Marketing – A Look Into The Crystal Ball

E-commerce has grown by leaps and bounds and continues to set new marks every year. As comfortable as you and I might be using the Internet, it is really only in its infancy. As huge as Google is, it was only created in 1998. Think about that for minute. Google is less than 10 years old. My, how far we have come!

As the Internet continues to grow, how web marketing will evolve is a much discussed subject. There is little doubt the future is bright. As more people join up with the Internet revolution, e-commerce continues to grow. Still, one can’t help but acknowledge Internet users are becoming more sophisticated, particularly as a younger generation moves into adulthood and gets issued credit cards.

Web marketing is currently a bit of a mess. Remnants of the old, such as banner ads and email marketing, are arguably one their way out. Banner ads produce horrific click through rates because people are wary of getting stuck on a site they can’t get away from. Email marketing is tainted by problems such as spam, phishing scams and identity theft concerns. Personally, I delete all email that isn’t from a person I know. It is just too risky.

The dominant web marketing models now are pay-per-click advertising and search engine optimization. Search engine optimization will be around as long as people use search engines. The promise of free traffic is simply too glorious to ignore. Since it is fairly difficult to commit fraud in search engine optimization, it is difficult to see any future legal issues threatening it. That being said, people will always find ways to bend the rules.

Pay-per-click advertising [“ppc”] has a less clear future. The primary problem is click fraud. Click fraud occurs when a ppc ad is artificially clicked. The only intention of the clicker is to cost the advertiser money. Some estimate the percentage of fraudulent clicks on ppc platforms runs as high as forty percent. If true, this theoretically means you could take forty percent of your advertising budget, use it as toilet paper and get the same sales results. Pretty scary, eh?

So, what do the next 10 years hold in store for marketing on the web? In my personal view, search engine optimization will remain the dominant online marketing method. PPC will also continue, but will be modified into something used to conquer click fraud. I also think information publishing in the form of free copyright articles will become more and more dominant.

Combined, these three platforms represent the future of web marketing. Of course, nobody could have foreseen the explosion of EBay ten years ago, so we may all be surprised by where things stand in five or ten years. Considering Google is less than 10 years old, nobody can really say what might pop up tomorrow.

How To Select Your Online Business Niche

By Lynn VanDyke

Last week I talked about the importance of finding your niche. I mentioned how significant it was to feel passion and interest in your business idea. I received quite a few emails asking for more clarification. So I am writing this next new article to provide more information on finding a niche, but more importantly I am going to show you a tool that will help you determine the perfect niche business idea.

First let’s talk about what a niche is, why it is important and how you should narrow the field. A niche is a focused area of concentration. A niche could be about orchids whereas a topic, or non-niche, would be flowers. Orchids are focused. Flowers are topics.

It is important to find your niche in business because it answers extremely relevant questions. You must know who your customers are and what they want from you. Choosing a niche almost immediately fills in all blanks about your target market. Knowing your customer and their problems will allow you to offer solutions. Solutions are products or services that you offer to a group of targeted individuals.

Narrowing down your niche can be hard. Start by writing down all the things you love to do and enjoy in life. Include life experiences, jobs, skills, interests and passions. Really dig in and take the time to think of lots of ideas. Get specific. Ask others what they think your niche is. You may find some really surprising answers!

There is another way to narrow down your niche as well. It’s a new tool designed to help you navigate through questions with multiple answers. In fact this tool was just launched last week and I have already used it 3 times. I used it to determine my next business project, to determine my next info-product and to determine what my next article should be about. Voila! You are reading it.

Before I provide you with this free tool I want to warn you of two common syndromes. One is called the “Ready-Aim-Ready-Aim” syndrome. I know this syndrome very well. The “Ready-Aim-Ready-Aim” syndrome is for people who plan and plan and plan. They never really put action to their thoughts because there is always more to learn or more detail to uncover. The result is that their ideas and plans never actually take off.

On the other hand there is the “Fire-Aim-Ready” syndrome which is quite opposite. It is for people who just go out and create without putting much effort or planning into their course of action. It often results in mistakes and possibly failure. Poor planning is definitely to be avoided.

Noting both of those circumstances helps me set the stage for this new tool I have found. You can ask it any question you desire and through a process of 5 steps your answer will emerge. Use it to find the perfect niche for your business!

Internet Marketing in 1 Step

By Timothy Rohrer

When it comes to marketing online and selling products, many people are not sure how to get visitors to their website or how to market their products. Any business owner knows that when starting an internet business it's essential to run strong marketing campaigns in order to acheive success. Whether it's promomting a single product, service, business opportunity, you have to somehow figure out how to get the right people to see your business.

There are numerous ways to target the right people in order to acheive financial success online. One way in particular is through bulk e-mail. Granted it does work and it can be a numbers game, however there are some services that pay people too open e-mail and read them. In order to find the services that work, you will have to test them and see which bulk e-mail services yeild real results.

A number of very reputable companies offer marketing packages that often contain downloadable CD’s teaching expert marketing strategies and secrets. A lot of systems have received mass appeal to online business seekers simply because it cuts out all of the prospecting and phone calls. Anyone that has been in any type of network marketing business knows that they can spend an entire day on the phone prospecting in hopes of finding just 1 person that will join their opportunity. Marketing systems will do most of this work for you so you don't have to.

Many marketing systems will let you take a sneak preview of their compensation pay plan and business model. When it comes to marketing online, it’s easy to make mistakes and it’s easy to waste a lot of money testing new ideas. Any marketing package try’s to cut down on the hassle of spending advertising dollars only in hopes of making it all back. When looking for a new home business it can be an overwhelming process with all the programs available online. Most programs do not teach people how to market successfully online which eventually leave people empty handed and broke. Finding a program that makes it easy to duplicate success is an essential part of any home based business.

Before deciding on a home based business be sure you know what you’re looking for and by this I mean find a program with a proven track record. Find a program that has testimonials and a system already in place that teaches you how to duplicate their success. We know that most people want to do almost nothing and receive everything. The truth that comes with any home based business is that it does take time and effort to get it running. The initial boost will ensure a long successful home business career. Eventually you can ease up and put your system on automatic and reap the rewards, but not without doing some hard work first.

Internet Marketing Tools... Which Ones?

By Clint Pollard

Can Internet marketing tools help you make a lot of money? Some of them can, but if you want tools you need to add them as the money comes in. There are a few tools you should have when you start your business, but I just don't believe you should go out and buy a large amount of tools starting out. After you have some money coming in and you find a tool that will make your job a little easier go ahead get it, but if you are not making some money in your business now chances are the tools are not going to do it for you.

There is one tool I recommend every marketer have starting out. I can't think of any type of marketing on the Internet where an auto responder would not come in handy. I'm not talking about a free auto responder, because after you have made some money on the Internet you will realize the importance of paying for a good auto responder, but what happens with the prospects you built with the free auto responder, you will probably lose most of them, because your new auto responder will require them to sign up for your paid auto responder and most of them won't sign up.

If all you had was an auto responder you could build a business on the Internet without buying any other tools. Just building a list of prospects is building is a business. So you could build a business on the Internet for $17.00 to $25.00 a month. I'm not sure what every auto responder cost, but I think that would be in the ball park. It's really a fantastic deal, where else can you start a business for $25.00 a month? The auto responder may be the most important tool you will ever purchase, so go ahead and get it now, you are going to need it, believe me.

I guess a website is a tool and you may want to have a site, but many people are starting a blog instead of a website. You can find a free blog at blogger.com and not have to pay for a domain and hosting if you are just starting out, providing you have bought your auto responder. If you decide to use a blog we are still at the $25.00 a month level. There is another tool you could purchase, but it may not be a necessity, it all depends on how you are going to market.

I bring a lot of traffic to my site by writing articles. You may find other ways of bringing traffic to your website or blog, but if you decide to write articles to bring traffic I would invest in an article submitter. There is a wide range in price here, but I pay $40.00 every three months for my article submitter. The submitter I use will let you use their submitter for free, but you won't get the results you are looking for unless you sign up for the paid account.

There are other tools you may want later, but you can start with the tools I recommended and do very well on the Internet. If you use the tools I talked about you will be spending about $33.00 a month to start your business. In three or four months you could be making more than that from your new business, where else but the Internet is that possible?

Good Luck!

Web Marketing and Website Traffic Analysis

By Mark Nenadic

Among the best ways to get the very most out of your web marketing is to analyze the traffic that you already have on you website. You need to develop an understanding of who is visiting your website, what they want from your website, and what they’re doing once they’re there.

Unless you have this information, it is challenging to improve it in a way that will better meet the expectations of your visitors.

In order to analyze your website traffic, you can choose one or many of the following four techniques:

» A webpage counter
» A statistical package from your ISP
» Web traffic analysis software
» Hire a professional to audit your website traffic

Counters are one of the oldest tools that have been added to websites. They can be visible to your website visitors, or invisible to them so that only you can see. A web counter is a very basic addition to your website that simply registers the number of people who visit any given page on your site.

Of course, showing this isn’t exactly the most professional way to run a website. Sure, they’re alright for personal pages, but for a business that is trying to develop a good reputation and make a good impression, this probably isn’t really the way to go.

With the statistical package from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), you’ll be able to have a look at a log of every visit your website has received. This will be available to you in the form of either a webpage or a graphic for your analysis. The information is often registered in raw NCSA combined log file format, which is rather challenging to use for the average user.

It is full of complicated coding that must be deciphered for each individual “hit” that your webpage has received. If you know what you’re doing, however, this method does indeed provide you with a good amount of information, such as the way that people are getting to your website (for example, by way of a search engine or a link from another site) and what they are doing at your site once they have arrived.

If you are using a good quality ISP, then you will likely have a freeware version of a popular statistical analysis package available to you. There are many good ones from which you can choose, and you’ll find the results very useful. You can have your ISP produce a daily, weekly, monthly (etc) report for you to use. They can either be posted on a webpage for you, or emailed directly into your inbox. You’ll need to contact your ISP to find out exactly what services they offer in this regard.

If that doesn’t work for you, if you want a better detailed report, or if your ISP simply doesn’t provide that service, then you may wish to purchase a web traffic analysis software program. There are tons of these programs available at affordable prices that will provide you with a broad range of analysis options for the traffic you receive on your website.

To use these programs, you simply need to download access logs from your ISP using an FTP program. You’ll need to ask your ISP about the directory in which those logs can be found. The software will then parse (interpret) the raw log file information one line at a time to provide you with results in various combinations and formats for your use.

Though the more high-end programs can cost over $5 thousand, there are many software packages that are available to us “normal folk” with varying degrees of options and abilities, but at much more affordable prices. You can easily obtain a good quality software package at around $300.

So why do you need these stats so badly for your web marketing? The fact of the matter is that they give you a goal for your marketing. They show you:

» Which web pages on your site are most popular
» Which pages on your site are least popular
» Who is visiting your website
» Which browsers they are using to view your website
» Which search engines are sending the most visitors
» Which banner ads are sending you the most visitors
»Where the errors and bad links may exist on your website.

Common Internet Marketing Myths Uncovered

By Scott Oliver

There are many secrets and myths about internet marketing that have yet to be uncovered. Sometimes considered an elusive subject, internet marketing has taken the World Wide Web by storm. Before deciding to join the thousands of individuals already engrossed in the internet marketing world, it is best to first learn its secrets.

There are several programs across the internet that promise success almost instantly. Some say overnight, others a few days. Internet marketing is not based on luck. To make money through your business, you must be prepared to work hard and be patient. Although these web sites will not admit it, it takes an extreme amount of effort to accomplish your desired effect, and no scam or scheme is ever going to amount to anything.

Many believe that e-mail marketing is the best way to promote a business or concept. While this type of internet marketing is very effective, you must be careful when developing your e-mail campaign. When using e-mail as a form of internet marketing, be sure to use trusted sources. There are many companies that offer you the chance to order a large number of e-mail addresses for an extremely low cost. What these businesses don't tell you is that a majority of these addresses did not asked to be added to their list. With SPAM a major issue on the web today, many will report e-mails from unknown senders. If you are reported, you may lose your internet service provider and much of what you have worked so hard for.

Another common internet marketing myth is that to make money you must have an elaborate web site. This is definitely not true. Many internet users are not equipped with a high speed connection, so complicated graphics, and flashy video will just cause the page to load slower. Most web surfers do not like to wait around, and will leave the site if it does not load quickly. Now isn't your internet marketing plan designed to keep visitors at your web site?

Scott has his own website to help you find the best home based business ideas and opportunities so you can work at home at: http://www.pennies4you.com/
